High Dive

Stephanie Moore was only four
When she left her precious sycamore
To go to the pool next door

She went straight up the ladder
That hung over the deep end
She held onto the board
And could feel it bend

It gave her a fright
So she held on tight
At what seemed to be
An unimaginable height

It would be easy to flee
And save both her knees
But she looked at her mom
And started to believe

So dear Stephanie
Stood up with glee
And said I believe in Me

She jumped then
Into the deep end
And overcame her fear
Of the high dive

The Attic

This house has an attic
That’s all made of wood
And it holds all your stuff
The way that it should

There are places in here
Where you will find some static
But don’t be dramatic
About this new attic

You could put in a fish tank
And make it aquatic
But don’t do too much
And be so erratic
You could get quite the scare
Which can be really traumatic

An attic indeed is its own special place
You can do what you want
You can leave it all bare
Or make it your base

Magic 8 Ball

I came across an eight ball
That was lying on the ground
It grew its magic words
Just waiting to be found

Ask me a question
And with a shake
My words will freshen

I sat in thought
With my question near
In this world
Why have fear

It’s a good question
That you have asked
But on this one
I will have to pass

I looked up above
And saw a beautiful dove
Which made me ask
Will I ever find love

With a shake
The magic 8 ball
gave off new words
saying you will find love
on October the 3rd

An answer indeed
But now it is a year
That I need

But the Magic 8 ball
Gave me nothing
But a promise
That I would find something
