The watermelon

There once was a young girl named Ellen
who ate a whole watermelon
People thought she would pop
Because she just couldn't stop
At least eating isn't a felon

A hero's tale

Come one, come all
to hear my tales
I braved the sea
I saw the whales

I traveled far into the north
they called me in
so I went forth

I traveled down
 down to the south
my daring deeds
spread by word of mouth

I fought in battles
one hundred fold
I saved them all
both young and old

People treat me
just like a hero
when I win
the foe has zero

Wherever you go
you hear my name
ride with me
and taste my fame

The Caged Castle

There is a castle far away
In a field where cattle lay
It is not made of bricks or mortar
Though it is occupied by an exporter

The people there are not minimal
Their positions there are quite liminal
No one is let it
Innocent or criminal

The fence surrounds it like a cage
Blocking all no matter the age

The Hungarian Librarian

There once was a girl named Marian
Who lived her life as a vegetarian
Nobody would have guessed this
From the Hungarian librarian

Her fridge was so green
The greenest I've ever seen
You may be asking
Well what do you mean

The fridge was filled with the smell of veggies
Like lettuce, broccoli, and lima beans
You never know what kind of things
A vegetarians fridge will bring

You may be afraid to give it a taste
But don't let it go to waste
It might taste bad, but it might taste good
Give it a try, you know you should

Marian loves the crackle she'll hear
When she touches the head of lettuce that's near
Whether the sky is dark, or the sky is clear
Food will be better when you are here

The Diamond Yard

There is a house
That has a yard
That's filled to the brim
With diamond shards

When I looked
It was quite the garden
But the neighbors got mad
And told me not to barge in

Don't be tempted
By shiny things
Like diamond yards
And golden rings

You may get rich
And you may have fun
But don't be sad
When it's all done

Seven Awkward Glances

There is a place not far away
Where people like to go and play
If you go there don't do your dances
You may fall down at seven awkward glances

There are water slides that loop around
The splashes always wet the ground
So if you run you'll take your chances
Of losing your balance at seven awkward glances

The lazy river surrounds the park
If dogs were allowed I'm sure they'd bark
They'd jump right in if they had finances
To the freshly cleaned pool of seven awkward glances

Time Dust

Let me tell you about something cheery
An invention that is whigmaleerie
Some people said you cannot trust
The power of my time dust

You'll see the future
You'll see the past
 For a few minutes
You'll have a blast

Just hold the dust in your hand
And when you blow
You'll see something grand

You'll see yourself living a dream
Just make a wish
It can be anything
