Christmas With the Crew

Most Christmas's are spent by a tree
With gifts bought on a shopping spree
But this pirate crew did something neat
Just read on and you'll see

Around the months leading to the cold
They searched for any pirate gold
They searched on land and in the sea
Searching for where the X could be

With all the maps they found great treasure
So much that it was hard to measure
Chests of gold and of silver
Lined the deck just like a river

Captain Abigail and her crew
Decided to start something new
They took their treasure of wealth untold
That they had hidden from the cold

And each bought gifts for each other
Because everyone felt like a brother
While no pirate was related
That same love was created

The crew then jumped onto the enemies sand
As Captain Abigail held out a hand
The captain shook it with distrust
But because it's Christmas, he felt he must

Christmas is a time of giving
A time to learn from the life we're living
Merry Christmas from us to you
I hope you have your dreams come true

Abigail finished with a grin
And brought the spare chest of treasure in
The captain then let down his guard
And entertained them with his bard

The curdled whale was quite a sight
Floating on the sea that night
The deck was empty, but their hearts were full
I hope this Christmas makes you whole

The Bacon Sea

There is a sea far far away
where the waves are strands of bacon
and the water is all grease

My excitement sure increased
As I took my boat "The Beast"
On a slow ride wandering east

No candy, burgers, or trees
But also there are no fees
When you ride the bacon east
Toward a never-ending feast

A Delicious Trip

Mary Lou was just like you
Frolicking the fields of nevermore
Stopping for fresh-made fondue
A dish she could eat forevermore

The dish was delicious
Her life seemed adventitious
But that's how it is in the fields
Where the leprechauns lay

You can have what you want
Each day is a jaunt
As the nevermore fairy's fly
looking at the blue blue sky

Small Pleasures

Every day of every year
There is so much to fear
But there is also something great
That we can all appreciate

Just look at all the world around
There are countless miracles to be found

The grass that grows beneath your feet
The wind that blows through your hair
The beauty of the painted street
The churros at the local fair

There are jump ropes that are just your size
There are movies that will make you sigh
There are also things that are supreme
I mean what is better than ice cream

But most of all the friends you've found
The ones your glad to have around
They are just like a chest of treasure
So, count them with your small pleasures

Cat Man Do

Have you seen the Cat Man
Who lives in Katmandu
If you haven't seen the Cat Man
You'll ask, what can the Cat Man do?

The Cat Man do
What the cat can do
He stands on all fours
As he licks his stew

He'll come into your house
And rip up all your drapes
But just before he leaves
He'll leave you with a scrape

He'll walk on fences
And knock them down
He'll run from dogs
Just like a clown

So if you hear some padded feet
Coming down your favorite street
Close your doors and lock them tight
So the Cat Man won't come in tonight

Desserted Island

Come to the island
In the middle of the sea
Where you'll walk on ice cream
And feel so carefree

Huts line the beach
As far as you can see
Made entirely out of strawberry

It rains chocolate syrup
For you and me
Which go so well
With the banana trees

The lake's made of caramel
The bushes whipped cream
If you want a great summer
Come here with me

Safari

There was a young girl named Kari
who wanted to go on safari
she brought a small morsel
not a whole horse-full
so afterward she could eat calamari

Procrastination

Little Nate was doing great
He never saw anything but an A
His friends told him about a trait
And taught him to procrastinate

Tasks on time now where late
Six were due, now there's eight
If you too can relate
learn not to procrastinate

Little Agnes's Tantrums

There was a girl named Agnes
Who people thought was great
But only because they didn't know
Of her habit defenestrate

Her house had windows of all kinds
The best, the worst, she didn't mind
Agnes threw her books, her toys, her clothes
She kept on throwing out the window
Because it didn't close

She threw out plates, she threw out pans
she even threw out vacation plans
always throwing again and again
like ice cream cones, and windows 10

Word got out and Agnes stopped
Stopped throwing her books, her clothes, her toys
And for the neighbors, it stopped the noise

Wanderlust

In the land of wanderlust
There is a feeling of great trust
You feel together as you walk
You come closer as you talk

In the forest, there is a breeze
It softens the heat
And blows the leaves

The leaves float with the wind
But not so much that the trees are trimmed

Each second lived brings great solace
In a land that feels flawless

King Simon of Diamonds

King Simon of Diamonds was ruler
Oh yes it's true
Who cared very little
For me and for you

A servant came in
On bended knee
And said what can I do
Your great majesty

My servant steven
King Simon replied
You may arise
To go to the kitchen
And get me some fries

But when you make them
Take out the eyes
I don't like food
That can be used as spies

King Simon was impatient
He thought they were stalling
But then he heard a messenger calling

With a kick and a boom
He came through the doors
Which cluttered and clashed
Right onto the floor

I have a great message
From Greater Spaulding
A quaint little town
That is continually balding

The king said it doesn't matter
You leave them be
Those peoples troubles
Are not important to me

People have come
From all over the kingdom
To help with their hair
And give them some freedom
And feel greater care

That's not good
No not at all
They're peasants and should remain quite small

The wigs that they use
Look kind of dandy
In fact, they were made
From fresh cotton candy

He said it's not right
He said it's not fair
He said people shouldn't have cotton candy for hair

The peasants of Spaulding
Were all outside
With their new hair
And a sense of great pride
They threw Simon out
Along with his fries

Now king Simon
No longer a king
Walks down the street
And regrets everything

He looks at the people
He used to rule
And says that he's sorry
For being a fool

Valentine's Day

They say that love is all around
In the air and on the ground

Love for friends and family too
Love of Cards and love for you

Some love sunsets and some love stars
Some show love with candy bars

Love is shown on sea and land
Giving hugs and holding hands

Some in love like to hop and skip
But I fell for you when I tripped

The Man of Great Power

There was a man of great power
That lived in a giant clock tower
He said that he was fine
Yet he could never recall the time
Even though his house would chime every hour

The Bunny's Back

This bunny here just won't leave
I tried to use tricks up my sleeve

I didn't want to start a fight
I set it down to treat it right

I don't know if it's him or her
So, I started just to pet its fur

I handed it a tasty treat
A carrot that is good to eat

I thought that bunnies always hurry
Since its not, I kind of worry

I thought it would cut me some slack
But still, the bunny just came back

It is quite cute don't you know
Will you take it when you go?

Seeds

In life, we sow all kinds of seeds
Some are flowers
 Some are weeds

These seeds we sow
Are the deeds we do
As they grow
So do you

Each seed we sow
Has great power
So you can choose
To be a weed
 Or to be a flower

The Failure Lumps

Have you seen The Failure Lumps?
The hills that never green
Where poor men go to sit and slump
And hear the poor gun sing

Have you seen The Failure Lumps?
Where people are not jolly
Even though both night and day
The sun bakes all the folly

You'll see here at The Failure Lumps
The saved hand slightly quivers
From what the sun will do right here
It's not from getting shivers

You'll see here at The Failure Lumps
The wolves will often howl
From finding all these random bumps
Like a dead cat in a towel

What happens at The Failure Lumps?
I think you get the gist
People allow all things violent
And let dad tar the fist

What happens at the Failure Lumps?
A whining lad jabs true
With his bitter teenage war
He'll surely see it through

Everyone here at The Failure Lumps
Taste bile and kind rain
But for some odd reason
They focus on the pain

Everyone here at The Failure Lumps
Come and always stray
Like one son who failed a joke
And tripped on axe bright bloody stains

While The Failure Lumps has many things
Like many different tools
You'll never see those who are attractive
Because true men are hot farm fools

Years have past
Now there is grass
And The Failure Lumps
Is quiet at last

The Square's Fair

There once was a small city square
That was part of a small city fair
But the square had a grate
Which people would inumbrate
Not thinking of the troll living there

The Gifts He Gives

Here on Earth His gifts do flow
Through the mountains
And through the snow

We see it in the daytime
And also in the night
He gave us freedom to choose
What is wrong and what is right

His gifts are all around us
Though not all can be held
Not all are wrapped in boxes
Or made of things like felt

The gifts He gives are precious
Like family and friends
He gives us peace and comfort
And a love that never ends

He suffered all
That we might live
So let's spend our lives
And learn to give
