Ode to the Earth

I see the air
And feel the breeze
It gives a whistle
As it hits the trees

The wind is felt
by birds and bees
It even helps boats
To sail the seas

I feel the water
Pure and strong
It flows in rivers
On and on

Its beauty lies
through all the earth
And gives sea creatures
life and birth

I smell the fire
As it burns
The flame it quickens
And it turns

It can give people
Quite a fright
Or it can
Give warmth and light

I feel the dirt
beneath my feet
And taste the fruit
From fresh trees

Earth it seems
To be a gift
One in which
Time is swift

So let us live
In love and peace
And always give
Without cease
